Creative Visualization!

Updated: Dec 4, 2020

“When I'm trusting and being myself as fully as possible, everything in my life reflects this by falling into place easily, often miraculously.” ~ Shakti Gawain

Wouldn’t it be fantastic if we could manifest everything that we wanted in our lives by simply changing our thought patterns and our perspective? Shakti Gawain shows you how in her Classic Bestseller Creative Visualization.

I just finished reading this new to me book from 1978 that is as relevant today as it was back then. Use the power of your imagination to focus on and create what you truly want in your life.

The Basics of Creative Visualization

  • “Creative Visualization is the technique of using your imagination to create what you want in your life. ..It is your natural power of imagination, the basic creative energy of the universe, which you use constantly, whether or not you are aware of it.” P.17

  • Everything is energy and it is magnetic!

  • “In the process we often discover ways in which we have been holding ourselves back. Blocking ourselves from achieving satisfaction and fulfillment in our lives through our fears and unconscious beliefs.” P.26

  • “The ultimate point of creative visualization – to make every moment of our lives a moment of wondrous creation, in which we are just naturally choosing the best, the most beautiful, the most fulfilling lives we can imagine.” P.26

  • “Don’t get stuck on the term “visualize”. P. 33 You can feel it, sense it, or just think about it.

Create a very detailed image of what you would like a manifestation in your life to look like. Practice. Practice. Practice.

  1. Set your goal.

  2. Create a clear idea or picture.

  3. Focus on it often.

  4. Give it positive energy.

  5. Use affirmations

  • Every day and every way, I am getting better and better.

  • Everything I need is coming to me easily and effortlessly.

  • My life is blossoming in total perfection.

  • I am the master of my life.

  • I am now attracting loving, satisfying relationships into my life.

  • I now have a perfect, satisfying, well-paying job. P.44

Are you getting the picture?

Using Creative Visualization

Make it a part of your life. Set aside time to meditate and visualize every day.

There are three elements that will determine the success of your creative visualization.

  1. Desire

  2. Belief

  3. Acceptance

“One of the most important steps in making your creative visualization work effectively and successfully is to have the feeling of being connected with your inner spiritual source.” P. 67

Go with the flow. Hold onto your goals “lightly”. “Be willing to change them if something more appropriate and satisfying comes along.” P. 71

“You must be willing to accept the best that life has to offer you.” P. 81

Sharing, accepting and giving, creates a natural and abundant flow to life.

Keep a Creative Visualization Notebook P. 138

  1. Write down your affirmations.

  2. Make an outflow list of your money, time, love, energy, etc.

  3. Make a success list of everything you are at successful at.

  4. Make a list of everything you are thankful for.

  5. Make a self-esteem list of everything you like about yourself.

  6. Make a self-appreciation list of all the ways you are good to your-self.

The possibilities of creating positive experiences and outcomes in your life are infinite and only limited by the creativity that you choose to act on.

Creative Consciousness

“Creative visualization is not just a technique; ultimately it is a state of consciousness. It is a consciousness in which we deeply realize that we are the continuous creators of our universe and we take responsibility for that in every moment.” P 183
